    Join us for our annual Harmony in the Park event!

    This year's event will be held at our own little "park" - the Vega Court Circle.

    We will be hosting many fun games and contests including a pie making contest and a sack race with prizes awarded to winners.

    We will also feature many fun events for kids including pumpkin painting, a bouncy house, arts and crafts, trivia games, and more.

    For adults we will be hosting many workshops and seminars on the following topics:

    -Anxiety and Depression
    -Home Repair
    -Home Care for the Elderly
    -How to Take Your Blood Pressure

    There will also be plenty of music, free hot dogs, and we will be honoring the local police and fire departments.

    Join us on Saturday Sept 8th for Hudson West Folk Festival in downtown Jersey City for a day of amazing world-class music!  Enjoy a continuous stream of live music from coveted national and regional performers during our second day-long event. In addition to the great music, we will have several workshops presented by our musicians. Learn a specific guitar technique, harmonies........ perhaps even how to yodel! Food and crafts vendors will complement our day! 

    The festival, featuring two stages, kicks off at noon on Sept 8 at the home of Cathedral Arts Live, Grace Church Van Vorst, located at 39 Erie St. Jersey City, NJ. 12pm-10pm.

  • 8 SEPTEMBER, SATURDAY, 12-10PM - The 2nd Hudson West Folk Festival in Jersey City.

    Located in the historic downtown area, three blocks to the Grove Street Path station and just a stone's throw from Manhattan, Jersey City again becomes a major player in the folk world when it hosts the second annual Hudson West Folk Festival. 

    Indie folk powerhouse Scott Wolfson and Other Heroes will be kicking off the festivities at noon with their high energy blend of multifaceted Americana music, welding folk, blues, country, Broadway, and rock n’roll with razor sharp wit and Scott’s unconquerable voice soaring above the rich counterpoint laid down by Kirk, Matt, Mike, Chris, and Skyler.

    The lineup also features Harpeth Rising, Freedy Johnston, Sunny War, Blue Yonder, Blackie Farrell, Stephane Wrembel, Evie Ladin & Keith Terry, Kirsten Maxwell and Vicki Kristina Barcelona. The festival includes free interactive musical workshops, including Flat Pick Guitar, Yodeling, Body Rhythmn and Song Arranging, all by musicians performing at the festival. There will be a full bar, an entire hall dedicated to an array of food and retail vendors, and roving sketch artists capturing the moment.

    Hudson West will present ten acts in its second annual day-long event this September 8th in downtown Jersey City. By popular demand, we're bringing back our two-stage approach which will ensure a continuous stream of live music from coveted national and regional performers. In addition, this year's event will continue our popular, interactive music workshops--all free with the price of admission. Finally, to round out your festival experience, we're cultivating a wide-ranging collection of art, craft and food vendors to satisfy all artistic and epicurean palates. 

    With some of the best regional and national acts, it is a music festival with a different approach - the selected musicians are intentionally eclectic and cover a broad array of acoustic music ranging from blues, honky-tonk, Django Rheinhardt hot jazz, contemporary singer-songwriters, and some artists with a bit more out-of-the-box sound (baroque-folk, anyone?).
