About: My name is Taylor Parenti, I am a New Jersey based musician, recording artist and producer. I have been releasing music under the name Psychic Air, producing instrumental work encompassing many genres.
I have been making music for almost 20 years and have developed a very eclectic music taste which has been a driving force of inspiration for making tracks of all genres, including Alternative Rock, Funk, Electronic and Progressive Rock, down to Dystopian Synth Wave and 80’s arena rock.
I am also deeply influenced and informed by film and video game scores, and find inspiration in my favorite works of art, bringing themes and sensibilities from these works back into my own music.
In 2022, I challenged myself to write, record, produce, and release one original track a week for the entire calendar year. The culmination of that project was a 4 part album consisting of a total of 53 songs, entitled “Year Theory”. This was an incredibly challenging feat, especially to keep myself motivated and working through periods of “writer’s block”, but each time I felt unmotivated, I would hold myself accountable to the goal I set for myself, and push through. This project has made me a better musician overall, and the quality of my work has increased exponentially.
My music strives to be adventurous in its genre coverage, experimental in its form, and always good listening. Fans of any genre and especially era of music will find something to love within my body of work.
I am always working on new content, and after Year Theory Parts 1-4, I am beginning to explore a new genre and will release more cohesive albums in the near future.
