Hub City Sounds annual local music fest expands to 3 days & 5 events Sept. 8-10, 2017

New Brunswick Cultural Center's Hub City Sounds, Smugbug Productions and NJ Music Media Partnership in association with Volume IV, NJ Skateshop, Caroline Romanelli Presents and Scarlet Pub will present ROCK New Brunswick. The expanded version of Hub City Sounds' annual FREE local music festival will take place Friday, Sept. 8 to Sunday, Sept. 10 throughout Hub City.

New Brunswick will celebrate its diversity, music, history, entrepreneurship and economic development throughout five events, three of which are free. They are:

New Brunswick Music Scene Archive ROCK New Brunswick Panel Discussion, 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, Rutgers University Alexander Library, 169 College Ave. Panelists will be announced soon.
Alcohol-free all-ages ROCK New Brunswick Warmup Party with Mr. Payday (www.mrpaydayband.com), Spowder (https://spowder.bandcamp.com/), Glazer (www.glazer.bandcamp.com) and Schwervon! from Kansas (www.schwervon.com), 7 p.m. to midnight Saturday, Sept. 9, Volume IV, 120 Jersey Ave. $5
